Radiate Love

Under the title “Radiate Love,” the bishops of California invite every Catholic to celebrate the beauty and goodness of marriage and family. We invite all families to radiate their love to the world—parents, grandparents, children, spouses, sisters, and brothers. This initiative will include monthly reflections, prayers, videos, and other materials to help families become witnesses of God’s love. 

In His divine wisdom, God invites couples to deepen their roots, prune the dead branches, and grow through any rocky ground to produce the best fruit. Mutual vulnerability and respect amid differences are the keys to a more profound and enduring love. When the moment arrives to humbly give and receive forgiveness, the Holy Spirit pours out grace on our will so we can grow in holiness and love.

Share Your Love Story: Submit Your Videos & Photos! We are excited to invite you to share a piece of your love story with us! We’re collecting stories from married couples, and we’d love to hear yours. Whether through a short video or a photo with a story, your experiences could inspire others and celebrate the beauty of marriage. Here are a few questions to get you started:

• What first attracted you to your spouse?
• How did you two meet?
• What’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?
• Tell us a story about how you overcame challenges as a married couple.

How to Film Your Video:
If you choose to record a video, here are some tips to ensure it looks great:

• Film Horizontally: Hold your phone in landscape mode (sideways) to capture a wide view.
• Find Good Lighting: Make sure you have plenty of light, preferably natural light, in front of you.
• Keep it Short: Aim for a video that’s 1-3 minutes long.
• Speak Clearly: Make sure your audio is clear, and avoid noisy backgrounds.
• Be Yourself: Relax, have fun, and let your personality shine through!

How to choose a photo:
Send us a great wedding photo, family photo, or recreated photo years later.

How to Submit:
Once you’ve filmed your video or selected a photo, send it to:
