CFO/Diocesan Finance Officer 

The Finance Officer is the senior administrative person and chief lay staff position accountable for the overall management and control of Diocesan finances. This position is a steward of fiscal resources in support of the mission and goals of the Diocese of Santa Rosa.  The Finance Officer is expected to exercise prudent and independent judgement and take initiative to ensure overall long-term stability of administrative departments and smooth day-to-day operations of the Chancery.  For a detailed job description, please see here: Job Description.

Reporting to: Most Reverend Bishop Robert Vasa, Roman Catholic Bishop of Santa Rosa
Status:  Exempt, full benefit eligible
Hours/Schedule: Full-time
Salary:  Commensurate with experience

Outside the Diocese:

Director of Education - California Catholic Conference.  The Director of Education manages the public policy outreach of the California Catholic Conference (CCC) for the educational ministry of the Roman Catholic Bishops and Archbishops of California.  The Director administers education related initiatives, events, and activities of the CCC and its affiliated organizations.  Additionally the Director engages in lobbying, government relations, and public affairs in advocating CCC state and federal public policy priorities on educational matters.  Because of the close connection to the Church’s educational ministry, and the importance of a willingness and ability to understand, respect, and contribute to the CCC mission and to fulfill the job duties in accordance with Catholic teachings, Catholic applicants are preferred.
